Level 2: Business Requirements

Overview
Recent studies confirm a key reason for project failures is inadequate business requirements and analysis. Here is the only 4-level integrated Requirements Analysis curriculum, with 4 two-day hands-on workshops to (1) thoroughly analyze business systems needs and solutions, (2) elicit, define, and write crisp requirements, (3) apply a Use Case model and (4) facilitate a Requirements Workshop using Joint Application Design. These team based workshops take learners from beginner to advanced levels with sound, easy to apply methodology, tools, reference materials and case studies.

Objective
Developing and Confirming Effective Business Requirements will give you hands-on experience with the latest proven techniques for gathering requirements. Lively lectures combined with insightful demonstrations and realistic practice exercises will provide you with the competence and confidence to improve project outcomes through better requirements elicitation, definition, and management. You will gain a thorough understanding of the challenges faced in defining correct requirements, practical approaches for eliciting and documenting requirements, and strategies for managing requirements throughout the project life cycle. There is also an introduction to the concept of lean business analysis.

In-class exercises help you identify and examine firsthand problems that you may be experiencing. Through group effort, you and your peers will discuss ways your department or company should be handling problems up front and how you can improve those early, critical stages.
